Need Help Translating Label In Japanese

Sailor Kenshin

Recommended Posts

This label came with a NOS Sailor pen I just got.

The pen itself is black plastic, slim, with goodtone cap and semi-hooded xf nib. Other than the yen amount I don't trust my shaky translation. Can anyone tell me what it says?

Thanks!

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Top line: "Cartridge type"

Bottom line: "Iridosumin attachment/appendix"

The Iridosumin term used about nibs has been discussed in other threads, I seem to recall.

Pilot Capless Black Carbonesque - Pelikan M800 Demonstrator - Pelikan M625 blue -
Montblanc 146 platinum - Rotring 600 series 1 - Lamy Persona black - Lamy 2000 -

Pilot Custom 823 black - Pilot Art Craft Koushi - Nakaya Piccolo Cigar Akatame
Nakaya Portable Writer matte black urushi - Nakaya Titanium Piccolo -

I'd translate the bottom as "with osmiridium". Osmiridium and "iridosmine" are names for alloys of iridium and osmium. What mixture gets called which depends on location, period, and context. I'd assume it's referring to an "iridium"-tipped nib instead of a nib with a folded-steel tip.

Hi,

Basically it roughly says, "Cartridge type" "Iridosmine tip"

So, the pen takes cartridges and has a tipped nib pretty much.

Yes, it does have tipping. You can see it via a magnifying glass. ;)

Is anyone able to give me a character-by-character? I got a couple right (ka, ri, su, to) but the rest have defeated me.

Most of it is just a sort of transliteration thing. It just reads as it is written.
