Anyone have some experience with this ink? I can get it relatively cheap but cannot find any info on it. I would really like to know how it performs, mostly regarding bleedtrough and feathering on copy paper. Thank you for any help in advance. http://fpgeeks.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.png

Have you checked the Ink Review Forum? There's a pinned topic at the beginning which is an index, and the reviews are listed in alphabetical order by brand. Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't be much help.

There is no entry in Index of Ink Reviews. I checked it firstly. Managed to find some info on black ink and a little bit on this standard blue. It seems not to be a great ink.

The good news, the seller I bought a fountain pen from and the one who has this ink said he will send me a complimentary ink bottle. I can't wait to see how does it really perform.

Please do a review of the ink when you get it. I had suggested that since I saw you were relatively new and had might not gotten to that point in your travels through the various forums. Of course I should have also checked there myself to see if one or more was already posted . There's also a thread there where you can request reviews, so if someone else has that ink they might be able to do a review.

Yes, now we are all wondering.

Welcome to FPN!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have the black of that. Came with my F-C pen.

I quite like it. It surprised me. Not the best color but good and very good flow. I have heard rumors that those inks are the same as Pelikan as the bottles are very similar but I do not know that to be fact (the converter for the F-C pen was a F-C badged Schimdt so ...)

I wonder if these inks are being replaced by the new F-C inks or if they will continue be sold side by side.

I had a similar question over the weekend. Five minutes on FPN and all was answered.

Have a look here

That's it... thanks, Tas! If this GvFC bottle (62.5 ml) of Royal Blue is in fact the same ink as Pelikan's 4001 Royal Blue, and anybody likes it enough to go on using it a lot, they might consider buying the Pelikan instead, because it is much less expensive. The GvFC comes in at 0.18 Euro/ml whereas the Pelikan (in a 30-ml bottle) is only 0.12 Euro/ml. The Pelikans are also available in a few stores as 62.5-ml bottles, which would make them even more luscious.

Graf von Faber Castell do have very nice bottles though.

I have the newer series of Cobalt Blue and Moss Green and they are beautiful and big Art Deco bottles

For those of you interested in the ink, you can buy it here: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/auc-youstyle/item/fc-bt-bk/

If you select/request JP Post Postal Parcel for shipping (I believe that still includes tracking), the cost should still be reasonable.

And since Cross Blue is the same as Pelikan 4001 Blue as well, you can get that even cheaper than Pelikan's. £0.07/ml, versus £0.11/ml (source: Cult Pens).
