Pilot Custom Sophora / Enju

Hello everyone!

I recently discovered this amazing site. After reading dozens of threads and acquiring quite some insight, I decided to stop lurking and participate more actively in this amazing community. As my first post, I would like to inquire about this really nice pen.

The Custom Enju is a recently released sibling of the Ichii and 845. Its key strengths are the same as the 845 ones (nib, size, con-70), plus it has a nice wood grain (pic below), and a no-ball-end clip (I've really tried but never managed to like the ball), so I find the pen to be quite beautiful and I'm tempted to buy it. However, at such price I thought I would do some research first! So far I haven't managed to find any significant information (besides kmpn's brief post), not even in the FPN!, so I thought I'd start a new topic.

Does anyone own this beauty? What are your thoughts? Is the wood prone to staining? Any information will be very really appreciated :)!

PD: sorry for my English, is not my mother tongue.

Love the wood texture. Is it just straight wood, or is it finished somewhat? Can you feel the wood texture at all while you hold it? :P
I mean, if you could, the pen would be, like, prone to deterioration, but it'd be cool... :P

If Bing translations of Pilot website are accurate, the Enju wood is Sophora (resin impregnation processing), while the Ichii is Yew (pressure tight machining).

A real shame that going to a Tokyo pen shop is not an option.

Mmmm there's Hakase and Nakaya if you want to visit these shops It's Highly advisable to visit Hakase since the pens they make is unique to you like they look at how you write and make pens from that info there are videos uploaded by Virtu here as well

The Legno is laminated wood, and way cheaper, but it still is a nice pocket pen. This one can be bought at about the same price as a 845 from engeika.

It reminds me strongly of the slightly cheaper Sailor Precious Woods series (although this one comes in multiple nib sizes, which is a huge plus if you don't want a Japanese fine!). The following are pics of my Sailor Precious Woods in Kuretake (Ebony wood), but they come in woods with a more obvious grain like the Enju.
