We built some giant big Spirograph for a open house demo, we had a lot of fun playing with them.

That is SO cool!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Gel rollers ought to work for spirograph, and they're available in a suitably wide array of colors. They're a heck of a lot easier to acquire than technical pens. How much do refillable rollerball pens cost?

I have a few reliable refillable rollerballs.

Want to try one? (you can return it or replace it)

No, thank you. There is no purpose to which I'd put them where I wouldn't much rather have a fountain pen. IF I were to get a spirograph set (edit: AND I had time to play with it), I'd borrow my wife's rainbow of gel rollers. I think she actually has a wider array of ink colors in those than I do for fountain pens.

We need a spirograph ghost.

Remember the guy who posted the FP doodle from a CNC machine? Perhaps if we can track him down . . .

The blue in the text bubble looks really nice in the scan. I think that was Diamine Havasu Turquoise that you sent with the TWSBI.

Oh, you read my mind... this was the Inky I created earlier and forgot to post.

I don't think anyone caught the Phillip K. Dick reference to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (better known as Blade Runner).

Yes we did, and some of us have even read the original.

And another point of trivia. Philip K. Dick has had more films made of his books/stories than any other author.

I didn't have a spirograph, but this wasn't too bad.

Really? What about Agatha Christie? Or are you just talking SF?

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

who earlier this evening saw an ad on TV for the upcoming film Inherent Vice (which might or might not have been *my* first choice pick for a film adaptation of something by Thomas Pynchon...).

I'm sorry, is there any other literature than SF?

Actually, I'm talking proper films for theatres, here. If one takes away the Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot made for TV episodes, there aren't many stand-alone films made of Christie's novels.
