"Blood of Amber", I don't have that color, did you make yourself?

Yikes, I guess she does have an ink-diction. I wonder where she hides her needles.

Queen of the ink,

Amberlea!

long may she reign

I make out something in the range of one-hundred-thirty-six bottles.

Do we continue with the "Name that ink" game?

Brand, Series, Color, Blend, Batch and of course Brew-master.

Extra points for chemical composition and specific gravity.

Sacrilegious thought: I wonder what color you'll get if you dump all of those in a bucket and stir well...

Well, I do keep my waste inks and dehydrate them....

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

When I dumped my rinse cup yesterday, I briefly thought that I should've kept it and boiled the water out of it. It was the nicest brown I'd ever seen, though I only own a couple.

From that waste ink above I did this:

Well, I do have a BLUEDY Orange ink... I just sent it to Steve. It's Blue Ghost, Swisher Apricot and Levenger Cardinal Red.

So very wonderful. I wonder if you, too, have dreams about inks and their combinations and how they have a kind of personality (weird, I know!).

I have mine set out in hills and valleys on my desk. If they all decided to gang up on me while I work at my desk, I would be utterly powerless to fight them off... :D

Yes, I dream of ink.

And uh... well... see I have a second cabinet.

Wow! What's the nearly empty Levenger bottle at top right? It must be particularly bright... Do the perfume bottle misters spray ink?

The Levenger bottle contains Cobalt - not one of my favorite inks - I got it as a trade. It's a pretty color, but too dry and cloggy for me.

As for the perfume bottles, I don't have the misters at the office... For ink color spraying, I use more serious equipment.

Some interesting reading, there, on the bookshelf (of course, if you got rid of the books, you could have more inks...).

I love Spirographs.

Ah, yes. I should have guessed! I'll bet that most of us who love color and design and pens probably got our start with the gateway Spirograph... ;)

I know I loved Spirographs.

Me too. I've seen them for sale on the bargain rack at Barnes and Noble and have considered picking up another set, except I don't think I could use FPs with it....

See if you can get some Rotring Technical pens or equivalent, cheaply.
