Baaz, you can contact FPN member Mesu. She has sent me a number of Olivers and Clicks and I think is in contact with them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing lathe marks in my Gama Jumbo demonstrator. And yes, if the barrel is filled with ink then ink will catch in those marks, making for an ugly streaked appearance. But I'm even seeing the marks on the cap, and there it is bothering me. I am now trying to polish them out, but it is not easy to do by hand.

I am having no knowledge about Oliver brand..requesting your comments please.

.

Baaz, I have met the folks at Oliver just once, I cannot claim to know them well. They are a second generation company engaged in the trade of writing instruments under their brand name Oliver. They seem to be a serious pen company having invested in their own brand stamped nibs etc and also quality conscious considering their use of Schmidt nib units for their better pens ...

ETA: their website: http://www.oliverpen.com/

They show only their bestsellers which are unfortunately non FPs, on their website, but some company info is there...

For more information you should get in touch with the owner of ASA pens, he is in regular contact with Oliver, being in the same city and same business.

Hi Baaz,

Yes, I agree, even though I did get a little improvement today trying by hand. But I hope to do a little better when I can get someone to help me with a drill or lathe... and maybe higher grit sandpaper. But the pen already looks a little better than it did...

For better finish , you need to have a machine with high spindle rpm + fine grit polish paper

Threads inside barrel are single start.

Threads outside barrel are double start, caps unscrews in two revolutions.

Regards,

BAAZ
