Hello! Advice Please With A Difficult New Pen...

Update - the company told me I couldn't have a refund as I'd used the cartridge they sent with it. This was a concern, as they also told me that they had written with the pen and found it to be working absolutely fine. They said from my writing sample, it appeared I write quite quickly, and that if I slowed down my handwriting, the ink flow would improve. (!)

However they have now replaced the nib and the pen is writing beautifully, so it was definitely a faulty nib all along. And I'm very pleased to have my lovely Parker Premier back! Off now to buy myself some bottles of Diamine ink.

So there we go, a happy ending...

Thanks again, everyone.

I am delighted that you found a solution. May you have many years with your Parker fountain pen. I write slowly, so it is not an issue

for me. However, some inks are clearly of lower viscosity than others. I have forty Parker fountain pens dating back to 1912 . I am

disappointed with Parker's response to you.

Once upon a time, there was a great company, that sold fifty million fountain pens. I miss it.

No, it wasn't Parker themselves, it was the online pen-selling company who sold me the pen. But all sorted now anyway!

Hi, new girl here, I have a lovely brand new Parker Premier and the ink flow is shockingly bad - have attached a sample. Have now cleaned the pen and changed to a blue cartridge but it's still awful. The shop tells me to post it back to them but I'd prefer to see if it's fixable. It's a gorgeous pink gold pen and I'd like to keep it if I can.

I wonder if anyone will even see this message?!

Wow, that pen does need some work. It's so defective it writes upside down.

Next thing you know it will be writing bass ackward!

Well, at least you have come to the correct place. People here are so very helpful! That's just my experience - so far!!
