My first attempt at a review, and it's self-evident that I have no idea what I'm doing. But just to be clear:

Thanks for a good review. I agree that it looks like an excellent autumnal colour.

(To me it looks like a more sober version of Diamine's Sunset.)

Great review and it looks a great colour; for those that like that sort-of shade. It's not for me I'm afraid but the DD Red is one that I use.

Thanks, folks; I admit I was nervous.

Oh, don't know that one. *searches* Yes, I see what you mean.

This is a great review. My favorite part is "Marmite." :)

Bound to be someone who hates that bit though... :D

You'll definitely be the man to tell us which is the closest match amongst existing Diamine inks.

Great review of an interesting ink. How about ink crud? I love Diamine Ochre and Orange but they leave too much crud on and around the nib. It washes off easily but still ...

Great review. Thanks. I clearly need to grab myself a sample and give this a whirl. Agree that it seems like a great autumn ink, but I love oranges and reds generally, so...

Lovely review --very complete. And your penmanship is deliciously British ;) .

Crud is a parameter often shed by reds and ornages. Still, it's absolutely harmless. Just wipe off occasionally with a piece of paper towel or ahh, you know what and don't leave the pen open and unused for any great length of time.

I have DDO in my Carene right now. It's my new favourite thing. It does creep like crazy, although the Carene isn't as prone to crud as some pens I have. Flow is excellent.

Crud doesn't bother me, but in the interests of Science I put some DDO in an Oliver Exam, which experience has shown to be a crud grower of Olympic standard, to see what happens. That was 24hrs ago, and yep, crud is forming. Not a lot, but it's there. No great surprise, really, but fwiw.

I had nib creep with Diamine Pumpkin on my 146 with EF nib. This does look like an interesting color. Will have to think about it.

Not supported by the evidence - I support all positive responses above to an excellent review :)

That will be Diamine Burnt Sienna; see this comparison with the sheet from my All Diamine Inks post:

Same pen and same (batch of) paper used.

(The top line is a different pen, but all the lines on the sheet is the usual medium Lamy Safari)
