The ink is a bit too vivid for my taste, but what a lovely design, HalloweenHJB!

I do love this ink! It is bright, fun, and pretty! A very happy, cheerful ink, in my opinion.

The shading is good on quality paper!

I have not tried Canson Vellum, I must look into that now!

This one is very close to Pilot Iroshuzuku Yama Budo ink.

YB is quite a bit darker and more red/magenta. Monteverde Purple is a bright, light pink leaning purple.
