Scriptus Toronto 2014 Sponsors And Exhibitors List

It seems like just yesterday that we announced the date of Scriptus 2014. In the months since then, we have been steadily working towards the November show, and are happy to announce what you may have noticed in the sidebar of the Scriptus website: a list of our five major sponsors: Kaweco, Laywine's, Phidon, Staedtler, and Stylo.ca. We are thrilled to have such enthusiastic support from such stalwart pillars of the pen & writing community, both in Toronto itself and across Canada!

Arrangements for the show are coming together well. We have over half of the available tables confirmed, and plenty more interest. It looks like there will be a wide variety of exhibitors, so there will be something for everyone. We are pleased to announce a listing of all exhibitors to date on our website, at: http://scriptustoronto.com/who/exhibitors We will be updating the list as new exhibitors join us, so keep your eyes here for the latest updates. As well, we are finalizing posters and flyers, so that news about the show will be spread far and wide.

So, if you haven't already done so, mark your calendar for November 2: Scriptus Toronto is on track, and nothing will get in it's way!

Great news - I'm really looking forward to coming in from Montreal for this show! :)

BTW, are there any nibmeisters coming in to tune/grind nibs?

(Or did I just miss them in the list?)

We have tentatively booked someone to do repairs on-site, but are awaiting confirmation. Heh heh, that would the "keep your eyes here for the latest updates" part...

Thanks. FWIW, I was looking more for a nibmeister (e.g., Richard Binder, Greg Minuskin, Pendelton Brown, Tim Girdler, etc.) vs. a strict 'repairs-only' person. I'll wait to see who's announced before deciding whether I send out the pens I want adjusted or hold onto them for the Toronto show...

I can do repairs (lever fillers, touchdowns, parker vacs) but not nib work. I'm not sure how conducive a trade show environment is to repair work as it can be rather time consuming, especially if something needs to soak. Its entirely possible that a day could get eaten up with fewer than 10 repairs.

I too hope there will be a nibmeister because although I can do my own smoothing and have even made some italics, I certainly have a pen or two that I would love the deluxe treatment on

VINTAGE PENS FOR SALE! Various brands all restored and ready to go! Check out the pics and let me know if you have any questions.
