Mini Quink Cartridges

I was shopping for Parker ink cartridges. Then, I realized that there was long and short "mini" cartridges. Which one should I buy? When is mini cartridge good for and long cartridge good for?

The only reason I've ever bought the mini cartridges is because they come in a few colors that the long ones don't, namely purple, turquoise, and pink.

Parker mini cartridges were made to fit pocket sized Parker pens such as the Esprit.

They are essentially the same, just shorter. (that said, they do come in some cool colors!)

 

If your pen is long enough to take a converter, it will fit the long cartridges just fine.

The long ones are far cheaper mini. The mini are for the Duofold Demi and discontinued Esprit.

The mini cartridges are good when you will not write so much or just want the pen inked for a shorter time.

The long Parker carts hold a lot of ink. I will refill a mini cart when I want to use a certain ink for a short period, say an iron gall.
