Going to try and get my hands on a Delta Dolce Vita Federico today. I'll have to get very, very lucky on Ebay, but fingers crossed!

 

It helps that I'm not picky concerning the colors. Arabian Nights is unlikely; that seems to be in high demand, but maybe Cherry or Hell's Bells. Sand or Coral would be neat too, as are pretty much all of the blue ones. And that Ambassador... well, you get the idea.

Both excellent pens -- my 51 is a display piece right now, but my 61 has turned into a daily carry (Noodler's Berning Red). The 61 will be a bit of a pain to clean when you get one, but it's worth the effort. The 51 will, unless you get lucky, cost you a bit, but it's such a gorgeous writer it's worth it.

Got my "next" pen (so, it's no next anymore .....)

Just received a Lamy Imporium Titanium from a friend who doesn't like the nib . It's supposed to be F but works as a broad M .... Morevover, he is doctor and only writes a few words and no long sentences, so, unscrewing the cap, writing 2 words, rescrewing the cap, needs too much time for him. Indeed the nib is far from being Fine and unscrewing the cap needs time ..... However, it's a beautiful pen ....

 

 

That pen looks a lot like the Lamy Persona. Maybe they decided to remake it with a more "standard" Lamy nib.

 

Personally, I'm thinking of sending my black purple Lamy Al-Star to get looked at. The clip is very loose and it wore straight through the anodisation down to the bare aluminium in the two spots where it touches the cap. Getting a pen repaired is almost like getting a new pen isn't it? I guess I will have to baby it when it gets back and not let it leave my desk. (I have a feeling the Lamy Al-Star is kind of like the Rotring Core. It looks kind of tough, but if you want it to stay looking new, you have to really baby it. I have an Eternium Rotring Core, and it never goes anywhere). My Nakaya pens are the opposite. They look like they would need to be babied, but they go everywhere with me, they still look brand new, and I don't have to baby them so much.

 

I'm also waiting for another one of my other pens to come back to me in the post from being repaired. I can repair nibs, but when pens need some specialised spare parts that I don't have, they have to go elsewhere to get those installed if I can't get the parts to install them myself. I may also go and grind a crisp italic on a Lamy broad nib I have lying around and put it into one of my pens. Although I typically write with regular round nibs, the crisp italic nib is my favourite kind of custom nib, and it's the kind I most often grind for myself. I like the fine hairlines I can get from them. Grinding nibs for myself is easier in a sense, because I already know a lot about my writing style, pressure, angle of attack, rotation, and other things like that. Most of the nibs on the pens I have are just as they came out of the box, but a few of them I have had to reprofile and tune because they didn't work properly out of the box. Getting the perfect finished profile and surface finish (often mirror-like) on the tip of a custom ground nib right is one of my favourite parts of the grinding process. The thing has to look as beautiful as it writes!

Be careful -- Vac fever is as bad as 51 disease.... Possibly worse because there are so many more colors and sizes.

I'm jealous -- all of mine are probably F (or even EF) nibs.

For me, it remains to be seen what I spot at the Triangle Pen Show this weekend (although most of the shopping budget is for repairs of pens I already have). Still hoping to get an Emerald Pearl Vac at some point (speaking of Vacs ). And I just gave my husband the Vanishing Point I found in an antiques shop a few weeks ago, and if he decides the F nib is too broad for him I've pointed out the value of getting a Decimo with an EF nib and swapping the nib assemblies....

3. Scriptorium Balladeer + matching dip pen holder - anticipated at end of August (fingers crossed!).

 

After this? Probably nothing more than a couple of custom ground Jowo #6 nibs for swapsies.

I was doing so well.... Bought two pens, booth by Signum, at Philly Pen Show back in January, and nothing since.

 

Then... I just HAD to order a Lamy Safari in dark lilac, because, well, purple is my absolute fav color.... Ahhh!!!!! Tried to order the matching ink as well, but it was sold out everywhere (so what's new, right? Was staying away so that I wouldn't get tempted, so I am not up to date on anything...) While I was at it, I ended up ordering a bottle of Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine as well. I have a definite weakness for limited edition stuff LOL.

 

I am seriously considering buying Platinum Higo Zogan fountain, which was the gift from the Prime Minister of Japan to the participants of G7 summit. Such a gorgeous, classy pen....

Well, if all goes well, I will have several new TWSBIs in a little over a month. I will be going to Taiwan at the end of the month and am hoping to get a tour and purchase a few pens. I haven't owned a TWSBI yet, but amberleadavis was kind to loan me one of hers.

It's either going to be a silver Diplomat Aero with a broad nib or a Parker Sonnet in matte black with with either a reverse obilique nib or a broad nib. Probably won't be coming till late this year however.

I wouldn't be surprised of my next pen would be the Nakaya Briar in dark finish. Though with the recently arrived Platinum #3776 and soon to arrive Ranga Model 8, it would be a couple of months (I hope).

My next pens will most likely be a Lamy 2000 in Makrolon or Stainless Steel and a Diplomat Aero Brown. Pilot Custom Heritage 912 on the line too. Currently awaiting a couple of Parker 51 Aerometric to arrive so I can clean and restore, as well as parts for some Parker 45

Hmmmm.... I am waiting for 3 pens. One, a replacement for a Ranga model 8 whose color wasn't as advertised. Two ASA pens--a Trans Nauka from a recent group buy, and a Galactic.

 

Zwack is still awaiting a kickstarter carbon fiber pen that is running late.

 

I can't think of any other pens we're waiting for.
