I won a bid on ebay for $275 USD. Brand new from a store in Italy.

This will be my most expensive pen thus far.

Yes but, which pen did you bought ?

Oops lol. A brand new Souveran M805 in blue-black-silver

That's a Sumgai price for a M805. Congrats.

I'm sure you'll love it.

Next pen is a Montegrappa Extra 1930, or a Namiki Yukari Royale or a m800 if a limited edition really catches my eye. But, most likely the Montegrappa. I want the next pen to be the last one for at the very least 5 years though.

I'm getting ready to buy a Visconti Homosapiens.

A kind dude let me use his VH Bronze Age at a local pen meet and oh my god it is the nicest pen I've ever used!

I'm buying all my Grail pens and also the pens that always struck my fancy but never bought.

I just got a Pilot Custom 823 (a Grail) and a Conklin Word Gauge (struck my fancy). Next is an Aurora Optima (Grail), Delta Dolcevita (grail) and a Conid Bulkfiller (strikes my fancy).

Ball-point pens are only good for filling out forms on a plane.

I use my Vanishing Point a lot -- it's completely reliable, a dream to write with, and so convenient. I think it's time for the red one with the gold furniture.

My fingers are always inky and I'm always looking for something new.  Interested in trading?  Contact me!

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I'm thinking about a dark lilac Safari, maybe with a 1.1 mm stub.

The dark lilac safari is stunning and the Lamy 1.1 nib quite fun in my experience.

I have 7 different pens in the mail right now, whoooops :'D

A four pen set of Jinhao x450's, as well as a blue x450 and a wooden 8812.

And I finally bought a Noodler's Ahab, because it's an interesting pen.

After that, there's either a list of more Chinese pens I'd like to have, or I'll save up for a Waterman Carène, because that is one absolutely gorgeous pen, I adore the inlaid nib and it's a gold nib, too, which is nice. I don't really care either way; if it works I'm generally good, but it'll probably shut up my father and his eternal disdain for my pen collection*.

*he thinks anything <100€ or with a steel nib isn't even worth having, while I'm always on the lookout for interesting pens in as many colors, designs, nibs and origins as possible.

For me, it's a Pelikan M200 Café Crème, B nib -- an extremely lucky eBay find and win -- to replace the one I lost in March. I had pretty much given up hope of ever being able to find one at this point in the game, but stumbled onto the auction last week with about 12 hours to go (the truly amazing part was that I didn't even hit my initial bid amount, let alone the maximum I threw in with about 2 hours to go -- go figure the vagaries of the Bay of Evil...).

After that, it's going to be one of the Dark Lilac Safaris. Still trying to make up my mind about nib width. I have a lot of pens that have fine nibs, but am not really interested in another M; and a bit iffy on the concept of an EF.... Of course there's a part of me going "You can always order the B nib in black" but I'm not sure I want to use that money on a nib, when I *could* be buying ink....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

My Pilot Custom 74 is due to arrive from Japan any day now!!

After that it will be either a Montblanc 145 or a Sailor (Realo or Pro Gear) - not sure which. Hopefully nearing the end of my spree until the Pen Show in November...

I don't understand why you would have to order an ADDITIONAL nib for the pen to have a B nib. Are you saying that you want your Safari to have the Broad nib?

If so you could order from FONTOPLUMO & receive the B nib @ total cost (shipped to US) $21.33. That should allow you a margin of savings for some ink.

The usual disclaimers: I am NOT related to, nor employed by, nor receiving any renumeration from FONTOPLUMO, merely grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy the prices he makes available on pens with superlative communication & shipping.
