Thier what are those marks on your Edson where the barrel meets the section?

I don't know ..... I imagine that it's made to help when unscrewing the section so that your fingers do Not slip ....

Those marks show how the inner barrel is attached to the outer barrel. Hoever, in my Edsons, they are not as visible as they are in yours.

It's almost like your pen is showing the inner barrel....

I like big pens, too. So, now I have to get one of each. Thanks for the information.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

White TWSBI Eco :P

Need to decide on nib size tho...italic nib would be my first choice, but it looks weird on smaller pens...

You ll probably have plenty of time to decide :lticaptd:

The Eco is my choice as well, so I'll probably have to look around for something to keep me busy while waiting...

I think the Pelikan Amethyst won't be out in another 2-3 months. I will lay low until then.

Ok, after 3 new pens in last 2 days - if you want to know, 3 pocket pens from the Japan big 3, one each, i really want to compare them - i hereby declare that i won't get another pen in next three months because i need to focus on my project now. When it launchs on October, maybe i will celebrate it by another pen. Don't have anything in mind yet, and try to keep it that way. Because if i have eyes on a particular pen, it will bug me night and day until i get it.

Don't temp me, i try my best to keep my word this time :D

Darn it, i fail myself again. But in my defense, who could resist a Pelikan M800 at €246, who?

I have 3 pens in mind – and no money (yet) to buy them :

  • Pelikan M800 Brown Tortoise
  • Pelikan M805 Stresemann
  • A custom Edison pen

Won't be for a while. Hoping to see how the reviews are for the TWSBI Eco and I'm waiting for the FPR Jaipur to finally be available. Might replace my lost Nemosine Singularity in the meanwhile. I have a thing for not so expensive demonstrators, I guess.

No! Absolutely not! I'm not getting any more fountain pens.

Just won a Waterman 52 1/2 v - sterling-clad and some sort of flexy nib.

The aspect of mystery is part of the allure, I'm thinking.

As second pen, your choice is just ...... Terrible, i hope you will receive it soon and will show us a picture of it. So many pen lovers would like to own one .....

Hmm, why would you say that? I love my Pro Gear Realo. It's a very reliable writer with classic understated elegance.

Thoughts switching between a Pelikan 400NN or a Franklin Christoph 1901......quite fancy trying a Masuyama Medium Stub but feel it may be too broad for my handwriting

Pros and cons welcome for either of then pens.....

Trust me, just pick one. Then you will get both of them before you know.
