Which One Will Be Your Next Fountain Pen ?

My Edison Nouveau Premiere in Lilac arrived today, and it is lovely! But the next pen will likely be an Edison Beaumont in Bedrock--I had come up with an idea for a Scriptorium pen that looks nearly identical to it. And then I saw the Edison version when I bought the Premiere from Goulet. So, even getting it with the 18k gold nib, it would be slightly cheaper than the custom design I was thinking of. The only differences would be the cap finial being slightly longer, were I to get the Scriptorium version, and I thought of getting a copper clip and cap band. But I like the gold-tone Edison version, it turns out.

Still need to get my bee-themed Scriptorium pen, though. Sigh.

Thought I was done for the year...

Good joke.

It looks like a pre 2010 Parker Sonnet nib is on the way as well as followed by a Matte Black GT Sonnet with either a reverse oblique or Medium stub nib.

I saw it yesterday on stylo.ca website. It looks great .......

Well, I ended up picking the B nib, just to be different. The pen has made it Stateside as of a few days ago, and supposedly had made it through Customs. But I haven't had any updates from the USPS since then; the most updated info on their tracking website says
"Your item has been processed through our sort facility in ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) at 6:42 pm on April 6, 2015."
Just for curiosity's sake I Googled "ISC New York NY" and found some web forum where someone had a package stuck there for a couple of months and describing it as "some sort of customs black hole". That person said "ISC New York" stands for "You Are Screwed".... :o There are 11 more pages of similar posts.... I hope that they don't see the Ebay seller's listing where it said the ETA was between April 8 and April 24.... and treat my poor pen accordingly (i.e., "Well, the seller says to expect it by the 24th -- so how long can we hold on to it and still make the 4:30 delivery time on the 24th....?" :wallbash:

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I don't think the Postal Service CARES what the expected delivery date is. I received a package this morning that was "supposed" to arrive two days ago & there was no tracking shown since three days prior. Yet today it showed up: safe & sound ( without I suppose ever being tracked for three days?) Seems strange to me........ I really think "sometimes" things are indeed tracked BUT sometimes they are JUST not!

I know, I've just said that one of my next pen should be the Wall street from Visconti ..... But I've ordered a Noodler's Ahab Flex Fountain Pen - Pima Tortoise from Goulet 5 minutes ago ....... The price is lower .....

I have been looking at a Nakaya Long Cigar in Aka-tamenuri with a broad nib. That might take some saving though.

+1. I would want that broad nib stubbed, however, and I would want the vermeil goldfish roll stopper with ruby eyes.

Newbie here. So I was thinking Twsbi next. But I've been looking at some old threads. So then I started thinking maybe Pilot Elite or Stella. And then I saw it - Sailor Sapporo or Pro gear slim Purple. It's so pretty. It has good reviews, being a Sailor and all. Some thought it to write a little wet which I am not sure if I'll like. However, I'm considering going EF and feel it will need to be wetter. Any thoughts? Should I have posted this else where? o I was thinking Twsbi next. But I've been looking at some old threads. I have an E95s with an EF nib. It's a nice smooth writer, well made, but (by design) rather compact. If you post it, it's suitable for a larger hand, but it doesn't weigh much. Doesn't hold much ink either, but for me that's OK, because I like to change inks with almost every fill.

I'd say I have average hands. And also being new to FP I change inKS a lot. I only have experience with m and b nibs though

I thought a gunmetal Platinum Plasir was going to be my next pen after payday but shockingly enough, my husband surprised me last week (after a horrible day, might I add) with flowers and a brand new black Neponset music nib pen.

When he got the e-mail last week they were in stock at Goulet pens he jumped at the chance. Which was really amazing because we have been being a bit conservative with our money the last few months due to some crazy expenses. If I'd been the one to recieve that e-mail I would have regretfully let it pass (this time).
