Wow!! I'm in awe of how some of you guys can afford the constant intake of pens??

Usually, their children are starving out in the cold. ;)

Hard work and bargain hunting... Lots of the first, a bit of the second.

I tend to buy in lots and repair them myself, rather than looking for a pristine pen from the get go. So I'll get a whole mess of pens for what's effectively three to five dollars each, work on them until I'm feeling the itch again, get another batch, work on them, repeat as necessary. :D

Sometimes I'll take the plunge for a special pen if it's something I really want, but that's actually very uncommon. That's what I'll probably end up doing for the Esterbrook pen and pencil set (and what I'm sure I'll have to do for an Esterbrook Phaeton).

I'm looking to step into the world of Pelikan and am going back and forth between M200 standard green or the Cognac demostrator... or maybe even take a gamble on a 140 if the right pen came along.

The M200 standard is virtually the same pen as the Cognac LE demostrator, correct?

I'm waiting for the Jinhao x450 in the mail I bought for $3 shipped.

The hubby promised me a Pilot Prera demonstrator in April (when the local retailer ships them in).

Porsche Design P3110 in black (broad nib)

The p3110 is a splendid pen. Mine is the classical silver and it is a real pleasure to write with. You'll be delighted with it ......

Brought yesterday some cheap Preppy with few Sailor inks, they will arrive soon. My Sapporo is kind of overdue. I should stop buying fountain pens and tons of inks till I get my dream pen, but to be honest its hard to do that.

Pics will be posted the day it arrives (tracking says Wednesday)... The Stresemann has been one I have been lusting for since the day it was announced. I love charcoal grey. Favorite suit, favorite ink, soon to be favorite pen...

I can't wait.

I'm so confuuuuused! For years I've been saying I'm going to get a Montblanc John Lennon commemorative pen (not the LE)... and now that 'the day' is only a few weeks away, I'm really leaning more toward about a dozen other pens of reasonably close value.

It's a big step for me (finishing up my degree at my advanced age (non-sequitur, it's never too late to go back to school and finish!)) and I want a pen to last the rest of my lifetime and hopefully beyond, since all three of my minions (aka my kids) are FP users.

You guys are a BAD INFLUENCE! Too many pens I want.

PS I had my pathology examination today and I think it went really well. (I'm a bioengineering student - biogeek/labrat/nerd/stand back, I'm gonna do science!)

Actually looking forward to a Pelikan m805 Stresemann. Had a thing for silver and platinum pens awhile ago, but since my Sailor Imperial Black, been interested in more subtle colors
