Perhaps that your dealer will let you try both nibs ..... If so, let us know what you think about it ........

I'm caught between this color and the Ama-iro! They're both so lovely.

I have a purple LE Vanishing Point (I think from 2009?) on the way, an eBay win, but I am 100% certain my next intentional purchase is going to be a Nakaya. My only problem is I can't figure out what color I want. Leaning towards the sky blue but might go purple. So hard to tell when you can't see them in person.

At this stage, if I were to buy another (I'm not a collector), I'd consider a Montblanc 149. I'd like to get a vintage Diamond Medal flat top but am not willing to pay the prices I see online when they pop up. I have fairly a narrow interest in pens and, for me, they pretty much begin and end with Montblanc Meisterstuck pens. I do have a couple Watermans and a sterling Parker 75 and that's about it.

Pelikan White Tortoise M400 Fine. I am actually hoping that my wife will take this one, she likes my Pelikans when she tries them but does not have one of her own.

I'd really love an Edison Collier in Persimmon Swirl.

UK-based pen fan. I love beautiful ink bottles, sealing wax, scented inks, and sending mail art. Also, thanks to a wonderful custom-ground nib by forum member Bardiir, I'm currently attempting calligraphy after years of not being able to do so due to having an odd pen-grip :D

I should add that even though I have pens in the pipeline I want to expand my nib options and add broad, stub, etc., nibs into the collection.

My next pen is a whim that caught my eye on eBay while sorting to see what fountain pens -any brand new or used-- were ending soonest (I like to try to get things using jump bids at the last second). This guy came in all sorts of marbled colors: red, yellow, green, grey/ charcoal, amber, white, etc., the last three being the same colors in which you can get the Kaigelu 316. In fact, RichardandTracy's reviews of the 316 have so piqued my interest, that I regularly follow the prices of them online. When I saw these pens, that's what I thought these were, until I saw the red and the green one, and knew I had to buy one in a unique color.

Long story short, I had hoped to pay $5 or less for a green one, but lost in bidding at the last minute. When I saw they were automatically relisted, I waited almost 24 hours and bid again, this time snagging a red one for $7.50.

I bought it simply because I'm a sucker for the look of the Duofolds and the red color got me, too.

I will have to pop one of my extra Schmidt converters into it, of course, but if the nib and build quality are any good at all, I will let you guys know. And if I like it, I'll also be getting the rest of them in every single color as my knockaround "Duofolds".
