Sorry to hear about the stolen Sentinel. Hopefully it was insured and you can at leadt get your money back so you can spend it on another pen.

A burgundy Valiant and a dove grey P51... Sounds like they'll color coordinate nicely together in your pen case/ wrap!

Yeah, it was 2 day Priority, so I filed a claim on it. I was more insulted that whoever stole it replaced it with a cheap Pilot.

I think I'm actually going to need a bigger carrier. I have the 3 pen Nock, but I might have to pick up one or two of the larger ones.

Even though I'm wanting to save for that Nakaya, I've decided to give myself one big treat of a pen order soon. A sort of last hurrah before holiday season comes up and I have to spend my money on everyone else, lol. I expect to be purchasing a lot of beautiful acrylic and resin pens next week! Lots of ebay and Goulet in the planning here.. Acrylic Konrads in Coral Sea and John Mung are in my sights, some Goulet two-tone nibs, an Ahab in Truk Lagoon, a Rosetta Napoleon in Lemon Ice, the Kaweco Liliput in Brass Wave, a couple of THINK pens... PERHAPS a vintage item or two.. Oh my.

I already managed to obtain my dream pen, the Namiki Emperor with a B nib. Might consider have it stubbed thou. My dream is having a collection of 10 urushi lacquered pens from different brands, all oversize.

Currently I have a Shawn Newton custom that is currently being finished at Hakumin Urushi :D Can't wait to have it in my hands - another dream pen!

I am eyeing the Nakaya 17 mm portable, but still not sure whether to proceed with the collection or not.

Well, currently waiting my blue Sonnet to arrive, the next one probably will be a Doufold Black and Pearl, or in case I have to maintain tighter budgets, than an another Sonnet a Black Lacquer GT.

Funny I should be reading this thread as my wife and I were talking about our next pens last night. She is going to pick a Yard of Led series the next time she is London. I was looking at the vibrant green Pelikan M600 and my wife looked at the the other options and suggested the blue M605. So despite picking up three pens since labor day I see two more in my immediate future. I am guessing that Italian pens are what is next in early '15.

I don't know if it's great or dangerous to have a wife -husband- having the same interest for pens ..... Great of course because s(he)'s not angry when you're back home with a new treasure and .... Dangerous because .... (S)he's not angry when you're back home when a new treasure so you have nobody to give you a limit ..... :-)

It depends upon which arrives first. I ordered two Kulturs from fpn member dboulannais (sorry if I massacred it) and just ordered a Pilot CustomHeritage 91 with SF nib from Amazon. The Pilot was purchased with some of the money my eldest gave me for a birthday present.

Well, I received the pen and ..... It's a Parker Vacumatic lookalike which had a completely dead ink sac. It's now repaired but the question is .... what is it ?

On another hand, my next fountain pen will be a special Jinhao ..... I should receive it soon .....fpn_1415049974__xpro6440.jpgfpn_1415050041__xpro64442.jpg

Just perused the website and caught the writing samples on YouTube.... Incredible!

I need to do more research on the models and materials, but I just added this one to a very high spot on my wish list!

The next sure thing is a Kaweco Classic Special Black Matte Fountain Pen: it's en route.

The next one after that, barring some bolt-from-the-blue discovery meanwhile, I intend to be a Neponset, if I am successful in the pursuit.

I haven't seen the Neponset show up at my favorite online retailer yet, but it's on eBay in 3 colors:

Thats a good goal to have!

Please do post pics of your new custom urushi pen when you receive it. I admire the Hakumin studio work.
