Which One Will Be Your Next Fountain Pen ?

I'd rather save the money from that and put it toward the Nakaya I yearn for so desperately. Ama-Iro, you shall be mine within the upcoming year!

Nice color choice. I like the string rolled Ama-iro, interesting accent and functional, too.

I learnt a very valuable lesson - I posted I was getting a Lamy 2000 next, and ended up ordering a Geha 725 and and unidentified 14k nib late 60s Senator piston filler since. The lesson is, I have no clue what I'm doing, but it's ok because PENS.

The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time.

Wild Rubin EF Lamy Studio. As soon as Goulet has it, I order it.

I have lusted after the Studio after I tried one in a now :weep: defunct pen store.

Also I want a Graf von Faber Castell Anello in Ebony.

Sometimes the cat needs a new cat toy. And sometimes I need a new pen.

I DO like that option, too. I also would like to get that Spencerian nib mod on it. >_>

All yours, Spencerian mods are totally wasted on my at this time. Maybe down the road if I can get the hang of underwriting...

Brand new Wahl-Eversharp Skyline Technik.

Cut from solid aluminum billet, it looks like an Airstream trailer! Several parts interchange with vintage Skylines. I'd recently sworn off buying any more modern pens, I was going vintage-only, but... This just pushes a lot of my buttons.

I really need to learn to stay away from this forum - bad for the budget.

I was safely and innocently browsing along until I saw this post.

Now I have one of these beauties heading my way.

For those of you not familiar, this pen was not the first time Henry Dreyfuss used this motif in his designs.

This is a 1936 New York Central Hudson locomotive, streamlined by Dreyfuss.

What's amazing about many Art Deco designs is that even now, 80 years later, they still look like they're from the future.

Happy Birthday, Thier.! Congrats on the new Visconti! :D

I'm thinking I'll try to get an Ackerman Pump Pen for manga G nibs, and hope that it arrives in a decent amount of time. So many bad reviews about the customer service.. But it's exactly what I'm looking for, so I think I might risk it. And I decided on a Kaweco Lilliput Brass for my next nice pen. I've gotten the hang of using flexible dip nibs in Noodler's pens, and won't be needing that Pilot Falcon anymore. I'd rather save the money from that and put it toward the Nakaya I yearn for so desperately. Ama-Iro, you shall be mine within the upcoming year!

I, too, have my eye on the Amo Iro, but am deciding whether I want it more than I want a cherry blossom Nakaya. Decisions decisions decisions. Which version are you considering?

It would be a learning experience to do actual Spencerian writing. I have dip nibs to practice with now. I really want it more for all the line variation in doing artwork. Plus, I normally have tiny writing, so I imagine I'd REALLY be able to cram words on a page with that mod and not flexing.

All the Nakaya pens are beautiful, it's really hard to pick just one! I like to think that the Ama-iro will just be the first of a handful.. Hopefully. I also like the white one with multi-colored feathers. It's just so lively!

I'm thinking I want a Piccolo, or maybe a Naka-ai. The clip is optional.. I won't be carrying this pen around--it will be forever home-bound whenever I do end up getting it.

Due to unexpected sky-high emergency vet bills yes, both dogs are fine now, they had separate issues, One had an injured leg (pulled muscle, the vet finely figured out 700 dollars later) and then two days later one of my other girls had to get a high-risk emergency spay. So in addition to cancelling our plans for new flooring my fun money, which includes fountain pens, tarot decks, clothing I want but don't need, etc. has been seriously curtailed for a few months. Maybe even into next year. I will still take the dogs over the fun, but...

So now I'm thinking my next pen will probably be whatever I hint around for at Christmas. Maybe a TWISBI AL XF with an additional F nib for swapping.

Especially since Richard Bender has removed the Belmont pens from his site. :(

Puppies before pens. I'm glad to hear they are doing better. Um... emergency spay? How does a voluntary procedure become an emergency?

As in the decks that fortune tellers use? Got some pics? I'm very curious...

Thinking about getting a Nemosine Singularity some time soon, either with a 0.6mm or 0.8mm nib. Any thoughts on the pen or the nib sizes?

Agreed, it's 2014 and Art Deco designs are still invigorating.

My next pen will be a Waterman CF Blue. My aunt found it in my granny's attic last week. Tomorrow, it will be mine sothat it remains in the family. My gold CF is going to have a friend ...

My next fountain pen will be a Kultur in translucent green, with F nib. I ordered two, so I could swap the section on my Phileas with M nib.

I recently had a choice between a Sheaffer Prelude Signature and a Pelikan m200. I chose the Shaeffer (which I love). So I guess my next pen will be the m200. Maybe Christmas! 😊

Was supposed to be a burgundy Sentinal TM, but that got swiped in the mail.

In it's place, I scored a burgundy Valiant. I also got emails telling me I won another 51 in dove gray that I only vaguely remember bidding on the other day, so there's that.

My Wild Rubin Studio is on its way. Ordered within two minutes of the email arriving in my in-box. Went with the 14k fine.

@NinthSphere

Sorry to hear about the stolen Sentinel. Hopefully it was insured and you can at leadt get your money back so you can spend it on another pen.

A burgundy Valiant and a dove grey P51... Sounds like they'll color coordinate nicely together in your pen case/ wrap!
