Which One Will Be Your Next Fountain Pen ?

It's adorable! They love the arrow clip design and think it's so fancy. I keep some ink bottles and samples at school so I can refill for them. Today one of my friends was blown away by Black Swan in Australian Roses (but another friend who is colour blind and can't see purple didn't "get" it, hahah).

Why don't you propose Hero to be their canadian dealer ?

!-)

Despite being a leftie overwriter, I've tried my friend's Pilot Vanishing Point and found it to be pleasantly nice to use, and the clip didn't bother me much at all! So my wife is getting me a Pilot VP Raden Water Surface for my 30th just 3 days ago. Its in the mail and it is coming soon! Can't wait!

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.

More than 10,000 views, woaw, as I can see, most of us are interested in knowing which one will be other's next fountain pen ................. But less than 400 replies, perhaps some are afraid of letting us know what they want as next pen ....

Well... I couldn't make it a month without buying another pen...

Nakaya Naka-ai in Aka-Tamenuri should be here in a few days. Ordered a BB reground to a cursive italic. This will be my first Mottishaw nib, and I look forward to seeing what his work is like.

Aside from saving for a long, long time for a Pilot Falcon and a Nakaya... I think I might get another Noodler's Ahab, in Crow this time around. For black ink only, and using dip pen nibs for calligraphic wonder!

Likely will be a Waterman Carene with a stub nib. I've been wanting it for some time, but it keeps getting bumped with other opportunities. I need to be disciplined!

Each time I order a new pen, I say exactly the same : I NEED TO BE DESCIPLINED (but, next time .....) ;)

I said to myself 2 months ago I'm not going to buy another pen until 4 months have past. I'm 63 days left and should be able get something special at the end.

I think you just need to get out of the habit of buying pens, that's what I found.

After trying and failing to fix a leaky Laureat I've come to realize just how much I appreciate reliability; my 4 Muji pens have never failed and they're the cheapest I've ad at $15 (+ converter), while two of my 6 Lamy Vistas have had problems, so my next pens for Orange Indien which has been left orphaned and maybe Fuyu Gaki will be Mujis. Now if Muji US saw the light and allowed those of us outside the US to buy for delivery in the US...

I've seen Muji's on ebay for 15 including p&p .....

I am thinking of a 3776 (probably the blue one) with a music nib. Last I got a a 3776 Nice with a medium, it is an amazingly smooth writer and I like the rose gold plating, but the frosted plastic body gives it a very "cheap" feel. Nice pen nevertheless, so my next will probably be of this range.

I want a TWSBI Diamond 580 with a medium nib. So far I haven't ever spent more than $15 on a fountain pen, and I think I'd like a demonstrator.

I'm really trying to justify the price of a gold nib something or other...possibly (well, most probably) a Sailor Sapporo. I liked the looks of the 1911 Midsize I saw at the Dallas Pen Show, but holding it next to the Pelikan M205, which I actually ended up buying and I LOVE, it seemed too long. My preferences are still developing, but I think I prefer pens no longer than 5 inches capped and lighter in weight. I really enjoy the way my Pelikan writes posted and the Sailor Sapporo should be similar from what I've been reading. So, yeah, that's my goal. After that, no more 100+ dollar pens, LOL.

My Pilot 78G hasn't arrived yet and I'm already drooling over a Prera demonstrator.

I might as well save up for a Twsbi, either 580 or mini, extra fine.

(…) and I think I'd like a demonstrator.

I love see-through!

I really want a Pelikan M1000 EF, but I think its not going to happen in the near future.

If everything go as planned, I'll be hitting the buy button like mad in a couple weeks.

And a Pelikan 500 might show up tomorrow too.

Ended up getting the Noodler's Ahab Crow after all (among some other items), and it looks like I'll be able to treat myself either to a Pilot Falcon Soft EF OR a Kaweco Lilliput Brass EF and cartridge ink next month. But which one?! It's a harder decision than it should be.
