Welcome, Anna !

There is some interest here, for journals that are "liquid-ink friendly".

Do you regularly use a fountain pen ? I look forward to reading yoiur experiences.

Hello and welcome, Anna. I'm glad you joined us. Bookbinding interests me, perhaps because I know almost nothing about how it is actually done. I do love books. Bookbinders also interest me, again, perhaps because I don't actually know one and because they possess an amazing skill.

Please make yourself right at home and don't hesitate to share your questions and opinions. I hope you enjoy your time with us.

Thank you for the welcoming. Yes, I actually have a Sheaffer that my fiancé gave me an a Inoxcrom. It was him who suggested I checked this website, since he really likes fountain pens. About the journals that are "liquid-ink friendly", I am looking for a paper to use in my journals that is fountain pen friendly. Tomorrow I am going to Barcelona to check that. I will share the results with you :).

Hi Anna and welcome to FPN.

Nice Avatar....

Yes, the problem with journals is often that the paper is too loose, sucks in the ink too much, producing feathering and bleeding. You would need a heavier paper, say 90 or 100 gms.

If you go testing, don't forget to take your pens..... And a bottle of ink with some Q-tips for doing ink-swaths.

Enjoy the forum

I lived more than a year in México, and I am going to go soon, probably on August :). I don't know about Inoxcrom, sorry

Actually, I have been testing. I already posted my first paper review and I am about to post another one this afternoon. I want to use a good paper in my work ;).
