Who would you recommend to repair and refurbish a snorkel-style Tuckaway that leaks where the barrel joins the nib?

Thanks,

Laurie

Not sure what you mean by "snorkel style Tuckaway". Does it fill with a thin plunger rod or thick tube like the snorkel used? If the latter most any repair person will do. I'd suggest Danny Fudge in the US. If the former, Ron Zorn, Sheryl Tyree, Gerry Berg in the US.

Ron Zorn but at last I heard he was not taking anymore orders until he gets caught up. Still worth the wait. Not affiliated just another happy customer. :D

+1 on Danny Fudge at thewritepen.com

"Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?" Patrick Henry

Sorry if I have the terminology wrong--while I have loved fountain pens for years, and have several, I am new to the terminology. It fills with a thin plunger rod.

I appreciate the suggestions. I love this little pen and want to be able to use it again.

Ron Zorn had repaired one of my favorite crests triumph vac filled pens. Ron Meloche and Joel Hamilton also do a very a good job when it comes to vac fill restoration

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Gerry Berg is my go-to guy for plunger styled Sheaffers. He's in the USA, reasonably priced, does an amazing job, and has a pretty reasonable wait list. Zorn is great too, but given the long wait list, I save him for my other pens that need fixing. Gerry specializing in the plunger style filler Sheaffers.
