Tracking Snail Mail

I'd love to know a good system for this. Some mail couriers seem losers par excellence of things I send out. I've already offended a several people because the mail never arrived. (And a few others who just think I must have died... and then others who just wait.) I feel a bit silly going "I sent you a mail!" online, as I begin wondering why I didn't say what I wanted to in the said online message in the first place.

I felt a little comforted, as I saw W B Yeats saying "OMG I forgot to write back so sorry oops" in his correspondence.

Its a simple trick. You should write FRAGILE in the envelope or box and the Word INSURED. belive me, they will take care of it like if their own souls are in there.

Sometimes that has the opposite effect....

No, they won't. They don't read the tags. You can write "contains nuclear waste" on a carton and they'll smash it up and deliver it three weeks after the estimated delivery date. I've seen someone do it.

Lately they're losing almost all the mail I send. And I've been waiting 24 days for a book I purchased from Amazon UK and the estimated delivery time was "48 hours to 7 days"...
