Saskia... I assume you mean out of their boxes and out of their containers... because ink out of the bottle is just...well... messy. :P

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I doubt it.

Testing that will take more time.

Yes that would take some patience. I left my bottle of Pelikan Mandarin in the sun over a summer and it is still fine and does not fade as much as most of mh other inks. Edited by Tanzanite

Hahaha! Too true. :P Gee Amber, I left ink on my dirty floor for weeks and I have NO IDEA why it grew mold! :P

Still laughing. Around here if it is open, it evaporates... no time for mold. What you may not be able to tell, is that even in air tight bottles... evaporation may have occured because the the ones in plastic bottles or with plastic lids, became darker.

The Pelikan inks tend to distintegrate over time.

And NO Mold...

Oh and here is what it looked like when I reconstituted it and used a brush.

It's sort of disturbing...

See I can't stand to waste ink. So that first time you fill it with water to discard the remaining ink that isn't usable...well, there it is.

I am trying to stay within the confines of this drawer, but I do have 5 more Iroshizuku and a couple of Noodler's on my desk

After viewing some of these beautiful ink collections and feeling jealous, I was reluctant to post a picture of my 'elementary' selection. However, I thought I would go ahead to post a picture inspite of these feelings:

Top row: Monteverde Cafe, Noodlers Turquoise, Chesterfield: Cobalt, Amethyst & Emerald

Bottom row: Chesterfield: Xircon, Siam, Fire Opal, Teal, Mahogany, Erinite & sample of Stipula Deep Blue, Montblanc Blue/Black & Black

This is a lovely ink collection. Lots of good colors and several bottles showing serious use. Don't let the (us) hoarders make you feel bad when what you have is perfectly nice.

Think about this: Most people have zero bottles of ink!

My side table. How fortunate that I recently cleaned this thing. ;P There are a lot of Dr. Martins, Speedball and Winsor Newton inks in there... and sumi... and some of those jars in the back are ink mixes... some Noodler's and Carbon Ink too, for my fountain pens. I use a lot of brushes/ dip pens in my professional work with fountain pens as an accent. We'll see how my fountain pen ink collection grows once my flex pens come in.

Because I do a lot of watercoloring, I like waterproof inks.

Room made, the Billy put together by DH and now we have this. I also discovered that I do not have a bottle of Noodlers Dark Matter :/
