Anybody Tried Word. Notebooks?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried the Word. notebook? I found a mention on the-gadgeteer.com, and took a look. Similar to Field Notes, but with different covers and paper. Designed and made in the USA.

 

The pages are set up for a unique planning system. Take a look.

 

I contacted the company to ask about the FP friendliness of the paper, and they responded immediately saying "Not yet, but coming soon!"

 

So, worth keeping an eye on.

I just ordered a few packs today. Swedish Camo, Stealth Camo, and Natural. I'm hoping it will work OK with fountain pens since they use 60# paper...

I started using some today: the Black Bandana LE with a TWSBI Classic (F) and Waterman Serenity Blue ink.

 

Cover is cardboard which, given its travelled from the US to Australia, has held up pretty well.

 

I like the idea behind the planning system, which is outlined on the inside front cover. It also has a list of common abbreviations of words etc. on the inside back cover to ensure better notetaking etc.

 

Paper quality is not too bad, no real bleedthrough but some feathering. Of course Waterman SB is a well-behaved ink and haven't yet tried it with other pens, inks etc.

I am very curious as to what you would use this 3.5 x 5.5 notebook for. Please tell us what you use such a small notebook, notepad for. I may be able to find something to use this size for.

They arrived... Picture won't load. 1 Natural, 2 Stealth Camo, 1 Swedish Camo. 1 Black Bandana on the way...
