I had actually mailed it off to them without the cap [while letting them know I had it but it was at home] figuring if it got lost in the mail I would only have to find another older select tip from the century line.

 

So now I guess if I want to use it I will have to find a different refill, from another company, or figure out how to make the Cross refills work myself. Or just put it away & forget about it for now.

 

Its too bad, there is nothing wrong with the pen. They just aren't supporting it anymore.

Try your local Office Depot store. I picked up a Foray Gel refill that works great in my early 1980's Century rollerball. I believe they also carry a Monteverde refill that should fit. Good luck!

The Monteverde C22 refills are a perfect fit!

I had to take a chance on it because Monteverde never responded to my emails asking whether they knew it would work.

 

So the story finally has a happy ending.
