hi,

I was offered this pen for 110$ dollars. from the pics...I could tell

the pen has loose rings and nib with plating loss. it is vintage.

as the ink window is not visible...I concluded it to be 142... but somehow the cap top seems a bit off.(seems shorter and fatter)

please help me identify it.

anyways here are the pics.

There should be an engraving on the blindcap ( along with the nib size ) on the vintage MB's ( I only have experience with the 342, mind you, so I could be wrong )
Could be that it has a mismatched cap
Speaking of the nib : is it me or does it seem quite butchered?

EDIT : if those pictures were sent to you : have the seller check for possible engravings on the blindcap.

the nib does look butchered perhaps the tip got bent and the previous owner tried to bend it back into place only to discover that it snapped clean off. ?

anyways it looks like a 142?

Thank you all.

I am passing on the pen.

I am still curious about the cap top though. it looks shorter that any 142 I have seen. even the cap top seems a bit hacked off. or maybe it belongs to another pen.
