I had been searching for the black Croxley to match the pencil i had, several months ago i purchased a green marble croxley and it absolutley took my breath away, a stunning piece of workmanship and beautiful materials. The detailing on the clip matches the lever. I'm digressing rolleyes.gif anyway got the black croxley mint in box, never inked and in the box not only instructions but the reciept with a note to the new owner.

Honestly, when I read the topic title I expected some sort of joke about a frankepen Cross/Bexley....

Sorry for that. It is a nice lever filler.

Cheers.

The black croxley

I have the same pen which I bought complete with a new sac. as discussed the gold lever fill matches the clip with the end of the fill lever having the cheron or plume bit on it. the fittings are gold coloulor and the pen looks almost new. The nib says A DICKINSON PRODUCT 14CT GOLD. Pleased to see your photo, I dont have a box or paperwork but the pens are the same. I wondered how old it was and your paperwork give an excellent clue.

Thank you

The black croxley

Sorry I should have added the barrel has an impressed inscription which reads THE CROXLEY PEN A DICKINSON PRODUCT. Both the barrel and cap finish in a black jewel shape, however this in not an inset jewel but seems part of the moulding. I would have thought originally chalked but since long gone.

Kind regards :D
