Hello everyone,

I found FPN about a month ago, when my wife bought me a fountain pen for my birthday. I actually was waiting for roller ball pen. Well for past month I have been trying and purchased and returned over 20 fountain pens. I know.... Crazy.

I tried couple of Montegrappa, but did not work. I wanted to love it, but returned it.

I tried Parker Premiere. returned
I tried Waterman Carene. (liked it, did not like the small nib). returned.

I purchased Visconti Homo Sapiens (I love the feel and wetness and flex really well for me), but sent to Visconti to have Nib replaced to XF Nib.

I purchased Namiki Falcon (F). I like the springiness but need to control better.

I purchased Faber Castell Ambition Black Rhombus. Super smooth for steel Nib. My work pen.
I purchased 2 Pelikan M200. 1 black Italic (like it), and 1 demonstrator medium nib.

Today, I finally purchased fountain pen that I can not describe. The nib is so delicious and lovely. I am in love. I don't know if I can find any better writer. It is Super Duper smooth..... It glides that you don't even feel like you are actually writing at all. I thought Faber Castell was smooth, but if everyone could try it. Anyway, Thank you so much for your knowledge everyone. I am learning so much from you guys.

Just to let you know I am in FPN everyday. I am actually writing this post from my work right now.

Christopher

Hi Christopher, and welcome to FPN

You're cruel... :D , you tell us about that great nib you found, and do not tell us which pen it is.

We want to know!!! and as we say here: it did not happen without pictures.... :D

Enjoy the forum

Sorry guys.

My wife also tells me I am cruel. :)

As I said earlier, I was working when I was writing this message. The pen I really fell in love with is Visconti Michelagelo Medium nib that actually writes like italic nib and very broad on most of paper. Since I took the picture by iPod, pictures are horrible.

Once again guys, I do not know if you will find same nib that I got, but please give it try when you get a chance.

Hey guys,

Warm welcome to Christopher. He's self-described "crazy" Personally, I think he is 100 fountain pens short of crazy. .

Congratulations on finding a pen you are in love with. It is a wonderful feeling. I'll have to check out that Visconti Michelangelo.

Thank you every one. I do feel very welcome in here. Since I am new to fountain pens I have many questions to follow in coming years.

I wish to try vintage Bexley, Easterbrook, Edison Pen Company, Parker 51, Parker Vac, Pelikan M800 or M1000, and MB146 or MB 149 before my time.
