Hello From Missouri

Hi! I'm new. I've been mostly lurking on the FPN group on FB for a while, and decided to take the plunge today and create an account.

Right now I'm in posession of a single Platinum Plaisir with converter, and have inked it up with several different samples that I bought with it.

Favorite inks so far:

Noodler's Liberty's Elysium

R & K Scabiosa

Not so favorite:

Diamine Ancient Copper. It looks like dried blood. Yuck.

Welcome to FPN! If you have the opportunity, you should try Pilot Iroshizuku's Kon-peki. It's my favourite blue.

Thank you both. Suji, I'm in love with all things blue! I love Goulet's wide selection of samples. Next time I place an order, I'll have to see if they have some in stock.

Hi and welcome to FPN

I'm sure that the number of pens in your stable will steadily grow. It's inevitable once you joined FPN

Enjoy your pen(s), enjoy the forum

Welcome! I grew up 25 miles from Cape Girardeau Missouri, and went to college there for a couple of years. Where in MO do you live? Are there any pen stores, or stores which also stock pens in your area?

Welcome !

Dried blood color might look good on certain color papers. Not everyone likes everything. One fan described my vintage pen

as "yellow-teeth yellow" . (Don't tell me you have never loved an ugly puppy.)

I'm about an hour Northish of Springfield, MO. I'm sure there are pen stores around, but I haven't googled to find any yet. I've looked for Varsity or Preppy pens (my 13 year old daughter is an artist and likes fountain pens) at places like HeckMart and Hobby Lobby, but with no luck.

I've lived all over Missouri, except for the St.L area. Northern, bootheel, mid...every place but East. :)

I also live in Missouri about 2 hours North of St Louis.

I thought two hours north of St Louis was in Iowa. ;)
