Welcome from a fellow Pittsburgher! I often recommend that new people read New Content, just to get a good overview, and to check out the Ink Review Forum.

So, what pens/inks do you have, and what do want to know more about? The amount of information on this forum is just amazing.

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone!

My collection currently includes a Parker 51 (Vacumatic), Pelikan M200, Esterbrook J and Dollar Pen, Pilot Vanishing Point, Levenger True Writer and L-Tech, and a Rotring Core.

Inks: Private Reserve Midnight Blues, Black Cherry, and Copper Burst, and a new (ish) bottle of Noodler's Air-Corp Blue Black.

What do I want to know more about? Hmm... Pretty much everything, I guess. I'm interested in adding to and or changing my collection, using new inks, learning about pen repairs (especially to vintage pieces), and whatever else there is to know!

So, how many folks are in the Pittsburgh area? Do we have "critical mass" go have a pen gathering at some point?

I've actually been trying to work that out, Ron! I had a call at my work a couple of weeks ago from a fellow fountain pen enthusiast who's looking for a meet up group to geek out with, which is one of the reasons I joined up here! I figured the forum would be as good a place to organize something like that as any and probably better than most!

As far as critical mass is concerned, I hope yes. I resurrected the most recent Steel City topic in the Clubs section of the forum just to send out some feelers, so maybe we should start a new thread and make some real plans?
