I thought I confirmed that the pen needs a Demi cap.

 

You confirmed that it has a wrong cap. Others suggested that a replacement cap is easy to find. My point was that the shorter Demi cap is not that easy to find.

A Demi cap will probably be harder to find than a full size, but Lustraloy caps in any size are generally common. I would look in the Classifieds section, eBay or research some European sources for parts. 51 parts are much more plentiful in America so I can imagine your search will be more difficult in Europe. Try the UK. There seems to be lots of 51s in the British market.

The mystery is finally solved. As many of you suspected ... I bought a beat up Demi on Ebay that had a good cap, and it fits perfectly on my Cocoa 51 Demi.
