Waterman 2A Nib

What, specifically, does the letter "A" in the "2A" nib designation mean (if anything)? I'm comparing a nib marked "2A" to my other Waterman #2 nibs and can't find my difference. Were the "2A" nibs produced in a later time period compared to those simply marked "2"?

Yes, the "2A" nibs do appear in later pen models than the "2" nibs. If the "A" has any more meaning than that, I don't know what it is.

Was it not mooted A = artist.

i had heard that somewhere as well, but i have heard others on here dismiss that notion

its also worth noting that there are 2b's and 2c's out there

It seems that all the nibs with a letter after the number I have seen are made in either England or Canada.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.
