As far as colors, I knew from the Atlanta Pen Show that Vanness (what a great store/nice people!) did not have or had sold out of a number of colors and was wondering more about what was in stock at this time.

We restocked and now are out of a few different colors- but should be 100% restocked by Mothers Day.

For those not inclined to do a web search..............

and a high recommendation for the folks at Vanness - very nice people to do biz with.

I am lusting after their bottles…..the time and my purse is just not in the right frame yet! I wonder how their #18 came to be called "Garuda Rood"……Anyone from India curious?

It's named after a famous Indonesian restraunt in The Hague.

Very interesting about the naming of the Garuda Rood color. I received my package from Vanness yesterday. They do an AWESOME job at packing the inks, you can kick the box down the street and nothing will break. :D I picked up #5, #8, #13 and #18 plus a few other brands I hadn't tried before, Diamine Syrah, Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses, and Private Reserve Avocado. My ink exposure has been limited so I'm trying to expand my horizons and try new brands and colors ... and maybe I'll even find some new favorites.

I picked up the #5 Shocking Blue and #10 IG Blue black at the store and couldn't be happier. Going back tonight to look again and see if I need another bottle!

Don't look at this post if you are an Akkerman Ink fan and have a weak heart.

Indonesian mythology has its roots in Indian mythology. Garuda is in fact a giant bird, the transport of the Hindu god, Vishnu.

WOW! You must be a kid in a candy store. I wish I had a good B&M store nearby.

Vanness is an awesome place to visit. All those inks, pens, and mechanical pencils. :)

you liked the auto points didn't you? But I think we had our hands pretty inked up - amazing what one pen problem can do.....

Thanks for helping with the laser- Mike still can't quite get it figured out. L
