The significance of the second white dot would be that your cap and body did not start life together, or at least the cap and blind cap didn't.

Sheaffer didn't put two white dots on the same pen. I hate to say 'never,' but that's my understanding- never twice on the same pen.

Can you tell me what Sheaffer pens had a white dot on the end or tip of the blind cap?

Metal-capped plastic-bodied Lifetime pens made from around 1942 to prior to about mid-March, 1948. Sheaffer had not yet devised a satisfactory method for attaching dots to metal caps prior to the latter date.
