Ordered ink and a Lamy pen from Cult Pens in the U.K.

4/15 - Order placed online.

4/16 - email notification - one item out of stock, and would ship when it arrived.

4/17 - shipped.

4/21 - delivered in Northern California (today).

No special shipping paid for. Tracked

Pretty fast IMO. Good customer service, I would order again...

Because of time differences, my 4/15 order was most likely not picked up until 4/16 PDT.

just my FYI report.....

Sounds like a good experience. Thanks.

I have bought from Cult Pens a couple of times now—mostly for their Diamine exclusives—and have had a very positive experience every time.

My first fountain pen was from Cult Pens about 2 months ago. I saved considerably on a Lamy Scala TI (it was about $120US compared to $200US here in the USA). Purchased other items as well and the delivery to DC was within 5 days and included free gifts. Great experience, though I've preferred to buy locally for inks and pads since.

“The multicolored leaves were softly glowing against the black sky, creating an untimely nocturnal rainbow which scattered its spectral tints everywhere and dyed the night with a harvest of hues: peach gold and pumpkin orange, honey yellow and winy amber, apple red and plum violet. Luminous within their leafy shapes, the colors cast themselves across the darkness and were splattered upon our streets and our fields and our faces. Everything was resplendent with the pyrotechnics of a new autumn.”

My recent order from cult pens arrived in CA promptly.

Just FYI though, the flat rate shipping isn't absolute. I ordered 7 Diamine (mmm, deep dark inks :) inks along 2 note pads and had to pay double shipping costs, which seems reasonable to me, but I did want to mention that the flat rate shipping isn't boundless.

I had a big order, but upon request, they split it in two shipments, so yes, double the cost, but better than the alternative DHL which would be 3 or even 4x.

Is it delivered in California by the postal service or FedEx/UPS, and does it require a signature

upon arrival? I am rarely home during the day.

Thanks for the information. I was going to get a Faber-Castell Ondoro, which comes with a bunch

of freebies, for a very competitive price.

Ok, so when Cult pens ship to me it's not as far as California. It's more like 100 miles. But still, I wanted to chime in to say their domestic shipping is top notch too, surpassed only by their low prices and great choice. Which is surpassed only by their epic, epic customer service.

In my case, USPS, with no sig required. I think it started out as Royal Mail Priority.. I could track it through the USPS after it made it across the pond.

On the UK side of things they have very fast dispatch and delivery times and the items always arrive extremely well packaged.

I think I can claim the record though - 4 days from Cult Pens to Melbourne, that's almost 17,000 kms. In contrast, I'm struggling to get a delivery from Brisbane to Melbourne inside 3 weeks because the seller is taken forever to despatch. No wonder I prefer buying from Cult Pens.

I'll reply to this thread simply to state that my experience with Cult Pens was also excellent. I can't believe the free shipping on an already good deal. I received a shipping notification on a Monday and the pen was in my hands I believe by Wednesday or Thursday. Not bad considering the pen had to cross an ocean and a continent ...again, this is with free shipping.

On top of that, their email service was very responsive.
