Inky T O D - What Ink Will You Try Next?

Next I'm getting bottles of inks I have samples of and like; starting with Fuyu-Gaki, Kiri-Same, and BB Kingfisher. After that I'm saving up to get most of the Sailor seasons inks when they come in in May/June. I need to check again and see if there are any I actually don't want, not likely. ;)

Maybe, just maybe something other than....BROWN. Up til now, I have used brown inks almost exclusively, with the exception of my recent purchase of Diamine Oxblood, which is very similar to some browns in my sample collection. But I feel I might be sucked into a sea of color if I keep reading these forums. Somehow a tiny sample of Edelstein Amber sneaked into my last Goulet order and seeped it's way into a pen...I...I liked it

Think I will give Rohrer & Klingner's Salix and Scabiosa a try. Not sure what else.

Amber sent me some samples that I am looking forward to trying. I have Akkerman Gray loaded in my Parker 45 Flighter right now.

In addition to the 13 black ink samples I ordered today I was compelled to get a sample of Noodler's Liberty's Elysium.

( I keep one ED pen (F) inked with Noodler's HOD, but I want to find a different black for one of my EF pens.)

But I'm really waiting for Yama-Dori.

You may be thinking of acquiring a sample, a bottle or a mega bottle, but what ink will you trying out next?

Anything but pink :)

Diamine Red Dragon (bottle) - definite

Walnut ink, for my dip pen - definite

I'm on the fence for a dark blue between Diamine Midnight and Majestic Blue. I have the samples.

I'm on the fence for a dark green between Diamine Green-Black and Sherwood Green. I have the samples.

I'm still looking for a nice clean semi-bright green. It would be a dryer version of Noodler's Emerald City Green. I thought Diamine Kelly Green was it, but the sample is a bit too yellow. So the search goes on with looking for and trying more samples of green.

I'm waiting for kwzi to return to the thread I started about his Blue #3, waiting to see his other colors. Kicking myself for not paying closer attention during the Poland Pen Show when I sat next to him all Saturday. Idiot!

I had a bottle of this in my cart, but realized that I have a thousand blues, and as such ordered the Purple Heart instead. Please post up a review with your thoughts when it arrives, if you have the time to do so. :D

ROFL?

OK, OK, OK, I do have some pink ink but only because it comes with the Pilot Varsity pack. I've tried to give it away, but no takers.

My wife won't even take it.

I'm using it up as fast as I can writing letters to my sissy friends so I can experiment loading the pen with real ink. :)

After my first experience with an Iroshizuku ink, I'd like to try some more. I really like the sample of ku-jaku I have. Maybe I'll try asa-gao or shin-ryoku.

So many inks, so little time...

I'm currently waiting for some J Herbin in Coral. I couldn't decide how much I'll love it so I ordered it in a small bottle, but yeah, that'll be the next ink I'm going to be using :)

Has anyone tried that colour?

Really looking forward to Lamy's neon coral ink. Does anyone know when it'll come out?

I think there's a thread somewhere from someone who got theirs from Cult Pens within the past couple days.

I just received two bottles of Sailor Jentle inks (Grenade and Sky High) along with a bottle of Stipula Deep Blue as a gift, so I'm planning on trying out those inks sometime, once I clear my current pens of their inks. I am very excited to try all three as I haven't had any experience with those two ink brands. I'm not too keen on the smell of the Jentle inks (they're quite putrid, in my opinion), but I hope once I try for myself how beautiful the inks look and behave I'll just try not to breathe in the fumes and use the inks often.

Apart from that, I'm hoping to try De Atramentis Silver Grey in the future. My previous purchase from the Goulets included a thank you note written with that ink, and I liked how it looks.

I'm waiting for a bottle of Yama-Giri to show, ordered several weeks ago from Amazon through one of the Japanese sellers. I guess it;s on a slow boat.
