Rare Montblanc Model ?

Hi everyone !

 

I just bought this Montblanc fountain pen. It was described as a silver plated classic... But I can't find any information about it on the internet. Can someone help me ? Is it a 221, a classic ? Is it a rare pen ? In that condition with the box and the papers what was the good price to pay ?

 

I really need your help because I've never seen a pen like this before.

I understand it is a model 2229 from the 80's. There is one for sale on ebay 301155226312 from germany for $175

I have never seen one before . I have bought off this seller before ,looks like I might buy off him again

Nice pen, never seen it before i think it gots a 14K nib ''585''.

Yes I really like the pen and it writes very well ! It was described as a OB nib but It is not "Official"... Could be OBB too !

You have an early model Silver Plated ' Classic" model number 2229. The nibs on the last of the classic series had only the word montblanc whereas the earlier ones had only 585. The pen shown on ebay could even be the same vintage as yours with the nib having been replaced at a later date.
