Congrats on your beautiful new pen! I just cannot understand the point in buying such an expensive pen and not writing with. It's like having a Porsche lying in your garage. :)

But it's a personal choice, of course.

Happy Eastern!

Because I like driving a BMW in real life more. :lticaptd:

I already have some nice pens for daily rotation and maybe if there is a special occassion in the future then I will bring it out.

Hi KJY what a beautiful pen indeed absolutely gorgeous, is this pen meant to represent something about the arts. Also is it a piston filler. Btw did you have to pay extra for gift wrapping, congratulations and enjoy it. What ink are you planning to use in it.

Hi Albinoni,

Yes it is a pistonfiller. Every year MontBlanc brings out a new Patron of Art (POA) and a Writers Edition (WE) to dedicate it to a famous Patron and writer.

The POA comes out in limited edtions of 4810 and 888 pieces. The 888 has the same theme. The difference is that MB use more delicate materials (launched every year's March/April)

The WE is a different story. The limited pieces vary. In the beginning there where 30.000 pieces and nowadays MB has narrowed it down to + 10.000 pieces (launched every year's September)

Their websites also shows some of there limited versions with additional info.

My supplier Appelboom still has some POA's and also ships to Australia. (Gift wrapping is ofcourse included)

Kind regards,

KJ

Oops,

Noticed that I forgot to add a pic of the clip. I know that for some members it is very important that the clip does not have any special forms.

The shape of the gold-plated clip references the once-patented screw clamps used for bending the grand piano rim into its sweeping curve.
