Gave Myself A Fountain Pen Tattoo On My Face... How Can I Get Rid Of It

I had a really stuck cap on a Sheaffer pen. I pulled harder and the cap popped off but my hands came back together and the nib stabbed the side of my finger. There was no ink in the pen but the "wound" took six months to go away.

I thought I was the only one with a pencil tattoo. I still have one from the time my 7th grade girlfriend stabbed me in the arm with a pencil after I told her during math class that we were breaking up. I have a little lead mark to remember her by, and she ended up with her first visit to jail and criminal record to always remember me by.

But I agree if ink is under the skin it will probably metabolize and fade. But I could be wrong.

As someone with my right arm covered from shoulder to wrist in tattoo work, let me tell you that a water based ink suitable for FP use will not stay under your skin permanently. Even tattoo ink degrades with time, and it's purpose-engineered to be permanent. It'll get absorbed and fade away. If it were india ink it would last quite a while, though. I wouldn't worry. It'll make a good story one day.

I did the same thing about 40 yrs ago. Mine is on my right forearm. Jumped up to get a pen from the ceiling [ stucco type ]

and arm met the pencil that was in my pocket on the way down.

Same thing happened to me in the 4th grade.... I liked the girl in the desk in front of me so, being the immature 9 year old I was, I teased her every day nonstop. One day she came to school with her ponytail in a braid so, naturally, I pulled it. She wheeled around and started stabbing me with her wooden pencil. I put up my hands and on her third stab the lead went in deep enough it broke clean off! Afraid of my teacher, who had scolded me and sent me to the principal's office many times before, I stifled my desire to scream and cry and just held my hand for the rest of the afternoon.

 

If I was afraid of my teacher, I was even more afraid to have my dad find out. So thirty five years later, the lead is still there!

Oh dear! When I was five, I dropped a Rotring graphics pen on the back of my hand and still bear the tattoo! Hope yours comes out!
