I have both the Sailor Japanese Cedar and the Pilot Custom Maple. I love both of them so far. The wood seems to hold up fairly well, the Pilot Custom has an ink stain already, but I still like them a lot!

Sailor Denshiro, Kabazaiku (Wild Cherry tree Bark).

Kakunodate, a small town located in Senboku District, Akita Prefecture, Japan and is the only place in the world where natural cherry bark kabazaiku, is made.
The wood work is done by the Fujiki Denshiro company, which is run by Koichi Fujiki, 51, the sixth generation to head the family business. The business was founded by Mr. Fujiki's great grand father in 1851 and is one of only 5 businesses that work with this material.
