Does anyone know anything about this pen, how it writes, how it feels? It looks like a wonderfully made pen but I'm new to FP's so my knowege is quite limited. I've ordered a 316 since for the most part, peoiple enjoy how it writes. So now Im curious about the brand and this pen in particular. It looks like a great pen for 27 CAD.

Thanks!

I don't have a K336, but my wife has graciously allowed me to touch hers, even though I was not permitted to write with it. Yes, she is a little protective of her pens!

The nib is the same as a K316. The balance when un posted is better then the K316 as the finial is either lighter or there is more weight lower down than on the K316. There is a bulge in the barrel that is much more apparent in the flesh than in photos. Not sure I like that, but that's by-the-by. The c/c is the same threaded one as in the K316, as is the feed, so I'd expect it to write the same as a K316. The section is reasonably comfortable, but doesn't have the familiarity of a K316 section.

I was not permitted to post the pen as my wife abhors the practice.

The cap is all metal. Not sure how well the frosted gold finish would stand up to regular use. I suspect it'll look a bit tired after a year or so of continuous use. I don't think my wife has inked hers, so I can't relate her experience.

The mosaic material is really attractive. However there were a few joints where there were small voids, meaning that the barrel didn't have a perfect glossy finish over it all. However, it is really attractive.

I have not bought one myself mostly because I'm not too sure about the barrel design with its bulge, and the pen tends to be either as expensive or more expensive than the K316 which is a pen I know & love.

You can get the pen a little cheaper than Todd sells it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kaigelu-kangaroo-336-Fountain-Pen-Without-Box-/231188039711

Regards,

Richard
