I have one like that, too, but without the lighter. But I find using toilet paper rolls cheaper.

I remember the Ronson brand so well. used to have a few of their lighters when I was a smoker, then graduated to a Dunhill. Nice find - real touch of retro. Thanks for sharing the pic.

My fountain ink dries quite rapidly on my stationery, and I've never had the need for a blotter, but that's a nice one.

My father left me (along with several pens) several blotter cards he got from drug representatives. I've had reason to use them, especially when writing in small notebooks. However, on a hunch, I tried something to see if it might serve as a back-up: the humble paper bar coaster. It worked fine. Next time you go for a brew, pick up a couple and you'll be covered.

What a great way to combine two of my great loves: beer and pens!

Forgive me for my denseness, but toilet tissue rolls?

Yes. They work perfectly. Just don't try to use them for their intended purpose after they have soaked up all that ink.

Kitchen paper rolls do the same. I've used these most of my time (toilet paper rolls aren't wide enough for my taste). Just leave about 2-3 mm of paper on the roll, fix it with a bit of glue - and you have a nice roller blotter.

Greetings,

Michael

I am anxiously awaiting the review and product comparison between Charmin and Scott toilet papers. :P
