0.5Mm Or 0.6Mm Cursive Italic

A stub would indeed work better as a daily writer.

I have a 0.6 mm round-nose cursive italic from Mr Masuyama. This round-nose design makes the CI more forgiving for faster daily writing (as with a stub), yet produces a distinct line-width-variation.

At 0.6 mm width however, there is still little difference between thick & thin lines.

Planning on authoring the "necrowombicon"?

I always knew there were good reasons to live in Great Britain. Being able to buy 4001 Blue-Black being the most important. Not feeling the suicidal urge to have to purchase a pen with a cursive italic or stub nib, just so I could write with 'individuality' comes a pretty close second.

But this drawing just about comes in the best 'last' place in anything I've ever seen. Of course it's just an opinion.

Which I believe, I'm entitled to.

I'm glad one of the reasons to live in The United States is to not feel the need to denigrate someone who only wants to write with standard unground nibs. ;)

That's absolutely spot-on! I'm raising a mug of tea to you in recognition.

Tax-free, of course.

Sorry for necro-posting, but this thread still pops up as the number one topic when you google "0.5 cursive italic" (was doing some research for a future grind), and I just want to say I agree 100% with Bruce here that the idea that you can't get much line variation from a small stub/CI is utter nonsense, and I agree, if you don't have much variation on your small grind it's a sub-par grind.

Case in point:

Would a .666 stub make every note a Satanic invocation?

Must get me one.
