I have had Eyas for a few weeks. Not enough time to write a review but i'd like to share a few points about this pen.

Thank you for the comments. Layout and inkpot came out ok but i still have a lot of work ahead on my penmanship.

I've usually tried pushing in the nib and feed if a Gama is a bit of a hard starter. Grab them together and gently push in. That mostly does it. All their nibs are really smooth. Sometimes pushing the tines apart a little bit, or the nib upwards from the feed, will also help. But even before that, just try priming the feed. Unscrew the barrel partway (3-4 turns) and hold the pen nib down above your ink pot (or something you would catch a few drops of ink in) and close it back. This forces a few drops of ink into and through the feed, priming it. Remember to wipe before putting your pen to paper, usually against the inkpot is enough.

The acrylic pens look great. As acrylic, they are turned right? As opposed to cast or injection molded. I wonder if the sections are black or body colored. Thanks for posting the photo.

Yes they are hand turned for sure. Other details i am not aware of -your question is best answered by ASA directly.

I got in contact with a Mr Subramaniam from Asapens regarding jowo nibs in their Gama pens. He told me he is expecting a shipment of jowo nibs any day now and will also be the jowo representative in India. The jowo nibs should be available as options on current pens and they are working on some new models.

Good Grief, that is a good looking pen. It evokes memories of a certain Eversharp pen from the 1950s. In the disassembled photo they have something dark protruding from the back of the section. Do you think that is the feed or something else? We will have to check on the availability of that pen. It looks great. I am curious as to the size, but it looks slender. Thanks for the info.

Then again, the Skyline wasn't exactly girthy either. Looks fantastic nonetheless.

I think it's the feed, and I find it worrisome. I had a Guider ED filled with a long feed like that, and I couldn't get it to flow ink to paper - hard start, skip, the whole bad thing. No matter what I tried. I ended up changing the feed for a shorter one, and that pen is now performing as it should.

If the feed is that long, I'd hope the channels are wide and deep!
