Just ordered an Eyas in matte black with a silver nib from ASA. Looking forward to comparing it with my Kim & Co. pen from last year. It was a toss up between the Kyuil and the Eyas, but went with the cheaper one for now. If I love the Eyas, I bet a Kyuil will be in my future.

ASA brand pens are better made than Gama brand pens. Buy I Can or a Genius & see the difference.

Vaibhav, that stock nib is not made by Ambitious, it is a Chinese/Taiwan origin nib.

Sir, probably there was a reflection of yellow jacket that i was wearing. Also most of the shots were taken in broad sunlight.

AFAIK those nibs are pure made in India

 

 

I have checked with Mr. Subramaniam ... these nibs are not ambitious but yes they are made in India.

hello everyone,

 

just saw a new desk beauty on asapens. Its a bouble nibbed version - one on each end with independent reservoirs. the best part is the clear ink window to check colours and ink levels--- "WELCOME ASA BATON DESKPEN"

 

finally some one is innovating new ideas in fountain pens good product idea. if its a dry writer, may be it can be carried in briefcases and handbags..... lets see

 

in rippled ebonite, the pen looks like a mini conductors baton. however price and availability are yet to be declared but considering asapens., hopefully, it will be very reasonable.

 

looks perfect for my office desk. i would love to have a fine nib pen as and when available.

So I received my fine nibbed Asa Galactic a few days ago and I have been using it non-stop ever since. I am seriously impressed with the quality of the pen.

 

For those who are worried about it being an ED pen, my advice is don't worry too much. I was able to write down to the last few drops of ink without any burping. Similarly I haven't experienced any issues with staining however I have only used one fill of J Herbin Éclat de Saphir.

 

The fine nib is a bit too fine for me and in my haste I forgot to select a B nib when ordering. What size are the nibs does anyone know? I have a few size 6 Jowo nibs at my parents house which I will try next weekend.

They are indeed number 6 size nibs. You may need to knock out the nib and feed as they can be fitted tightly into the section.

That's great thanks. I have a knockout block at my parents house too. I noticed it was very tightly fitted within the section when I tried (and failed) to align the mob with the barrel inscription!

Good news. I remembered I had a Noodler's Konrad with a 1.5mm Jowo nib lying in my drawer in work. Some gentle twisting using some old bicycle tire helped me remove the nib and feed from the section. The #6 Jowo nib fits perfectly into the Galactic's section with the Asa feed. I will post some pics tomorrow. I love this pen!
