A Trick For Neater Handwriting

Some people have asked me how high humidity affects my handwriting. The humidity here in Bangkok can borrow oppressive. The main problem I have when writing without air-conditioning, or when the air-conditioning is struggling to dry out the air, is that my hand sticks to the paper and my arm sticks to the table as I try to move along while writing each word.

 

The solution I have found is to apply a little talcum powder to my arm and hand. It makes my hand feel like it is just gliding along instead of having to stop and reposition my hand every few letters.

 

This works a treat for me. Maybe it will help you too.

I often stick a scrap piece of paper under my hand so as not to put any oils on the page.
