2014 Hero 616 Flighter, Anyone Else Got One Yet?

My preorder finally arrived today, review soon! Has anyone else got their Hero 616 flighter yet? What do you think? I love the looks!

I fear until I can be guaranteed not to get an F or XF, I'm not touching any more Hero pens. I got a few in the past, but realised I'm not an F or XF person and don't enjoy using the nibs. So, while I'd love a H616 Flighter, it's not for me.

Exclusive to the Flighter trim, the nib options are Music, Hebrew, and a Left Foot Oblique Italic. Mine is more of a left foot Oblique stub, but you can't have everything.

Hero is not the only one working on this. Just today Pelikan announced the FullForever cartridges. According to the press release, they are sort of recharded overnight. Soon they will also announce a piston filler that needs to be emptied in the morning...

On closer inspection, it turns out my "Flighter" model is just two 616 caps held together by a wrap of paper round a battery! It must be one of those fakes you hear about!!

 

 

 

ps - do please come out with a real 616 Flighter, Hero.

If you're talking about steel barreled hooded nib pens, Hero has the 100 Flighter for ages and other. Wing Sung had the 612A, and Golden Star the 703 and 707; there're plenty of others too.
