It seems that this debate could continue in 2015 as well.

Buying a fountain pen without knowing much about fountain pens is a gamble. The obvious way to deal with the situation is this: if you like the pen, buy it. If it`s fake you will lose some money, but you `il still have the pen. If it`s genuine, you still lose some money, and you`il still have the pen.

And anyway, luxury brands(and fake luxury brands) come at a price. If you`re not prepared to take the gamble, just abstain from buying it. What`s the big deal ?

I would like on topic replies. Thanks

If anybody with a Chopin can post a photo with this fb, in order to compare them, would be great.

It's pointless. The pictures you posted looks authentic, I don't think anybody can post pictures that look more authentic. "Pix®" under the clip is a good indicator, but that is not always visible on photos. Why you don't ask seller about that?

the word Pix isn't always under the clip so that's not the be all and end all to go on.

I'm not making any more comments on the pens authenticity as it's already been done to death.

You've received a lot of on-topic replies, which answer your questions as well as one could reasonably expect. ;)

Nobody here can tell you with utmost certainty that it's genuine (or not). The only answer you'll get here is that to the best of our knowledge, and as far as we can infer from those pictures, the pen seems to be genuine. You won't get more than that. If that's good enough for you to buy it, well, that's entirely up to you. ;)

I'm not really sure what you're after. Do you want a Montblanc fountain pen for your personal use? Do you want it just because it has a good price? Do you want it as a long-term investment?

There are some people who won't touch an item unless they can get *someone* (though doesn't seem to matter who), to say with 100% certainty that it's good to buy. Course if you want 100.00% certainty, you can always buy new from Montblanc, no one on the forums is going to give a guarantee especially from only pictures (and not like forum advice protects you if it turns out to be fake).
