Diamine Syrah-Handwritten Review (Apologies To Mhphoto)

I had a sample of Diamine Syrah rattling around for ages. When I first tried it, I used it in a Leuchtturm1917, and a Lamy fine nib, and I was blown away, I was in love. A few days later I tried it in a Lamy broad, and I was…underwhelmed. I decided to do a thorough review in the hopes that I could make up my mind at last over whether I should invest in a bottle.

 

 

This is me messing around with my Waterman frankenpen on some Tomoe River Paper with Syrah.

I hate to be biased, but I think I'm going to let it slide! The sheen is good, but you need a heavy line, and like I said, I keep going hot and cold on it. Sometimes it's terrific, sometimes it lets me down. If it were a woman, I'd break up with her. Good thing I only bought a sample bottle. Hollaaaaaaa!!

Syrah looks like it's just (by a hair) missing something, or just barely off center - just not quite right by a fraction. Diamine Oxblood, to me, gets it perfect. BTW, I concur - beautiful handwriting.
